Love
The love of God…1 John 4:9
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Because of this truth, John urges us to love one another, verses 7 & 11. Because of God’s love we can love one another. More, we can love God: In this love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins, verse 10.
Not just for us, but for the whole world. 1 John 2:2: And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. This is the depth of God’s love. This is why nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, Romans 8:39.
Not just for what God did, but for what God is going to do, now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us, Romans 5:5.
When you think about your life: where you were, where you are; remember how much God loves you. Because of what Jesus did, there is no need to waste time worrying about the past, nor even the future. Jesus is the Aleph and the Tau, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He was, He is, and He is He who is to come. Think about these things.
We waste too much time being anxious. The past is gone and we cannot change it. Our sins are gone, why consider them any longer. The future is for your enjoyment. Mark the blameless man and observe the upright; for the future of that man is peace, Psalm 37:37. That person is you. You are the upright and blameless person destined for the peace of God that passes all understanding. There is hope in your future, says the LORD…Jeremiah 31:17. All because of the love of God in Christ Jesus!
