God created man in His own image…Genesis 1:27
It is so important that we know man was created in the image of God, God says it three times in two sentences; Genesis 1:26 and 27. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fist of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Verse 28: Then God blessed them and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Perhaps God is making a point. He created heaven and earth, Verse 1. Therefore, everything on earth belongs to Him. So, God created man and woman to have dominion over the earth. It was God’s to rule. But, He created man and woman in His image to take care of the world He created.
Then mankind fell. Sin and death entered the world. God’s plan for redemption began in the garden and continues today. It is God’s intention to redeem all He created: heaven, earth, and mankind. Jesus enters. Much later, God has Paul reveal God’s plan to renew man and woman image: For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren; Romans 8:29.
It appears Romans 8: 28 -30 are connected to Genesis 1:1 thru 3:24. In Genesis 3 man is banned from the tree of life. In Revelation 22, man is invited back to the tree of life. So, yes, the Bible is connected.
