God is Love

The LORD is good…Nahum 1:7

This is but one of the announcements Nahum makes about the Lord. Verse 2: God is jealous, and the LORD avenges. The LORD avenges and is furious. Verse 3: The LORD has His way. Verse 7: The LORD is a good stronghold in the day of trouble. And He knows who trusts Him. 

That means, God knows you. God is jealous for you and He will avenge you. When He does, His vengeance is furious against those who are against you. The Lord’s will is your desire, for He has His way. God is good to you and is your stronghold. Especially these days in your troublesome days.

Even more appealing is The LORD is slow to anger and great in power and will not at all acquit the wicked, Verse 3. God is patient and He is just. His righteousness will prevail. Not only FOR you but AGAINST the wicked who oppose you. Do not lose hope. He has His way!

The LORD is great in power. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Better yet, you are of God and have overcome them. Because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world, 1 John 4:4. Because you are His child you have no fear of His wrath. For by faith, you have come into His stronghold. Any fear of the power of God is pure respect. For there is no terror in those whom God loves. By His great power you are kept until His Son comes to collect you. So, you can be where He is. And where He is, is at the right hand of the Father.
