An Unstoppable Duo
The kingdom of God is within you…Luke 17:21
This was Jesus’ answer to the Pharisees’ question: when will the kingdom of God come? Strange.
Did Jesus just say the kingdom of God was in the Pharisees? The very group of men who challenged Him on everything He did or said! Were they searching for the Messiah and hoping Jesus was him? Or, were they searching for evidence to prove he was not Messiah? Did Jesus just point them in the right direction for their search for truth? Clearly, they needed to repent for the kingdom of God was standing right in front of them. True then, and true today.
Some are searching for something to support them during the chaos of their crises. Others are searching for someone to blame. To both Jesus says, “Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand.” Could Jesus be saying, repent for I am the kingdom of God available to you right now because I am standing right here? And when you believe you will have the kingdom of God within you! If so, then the kingdom of God is wherever believers go.
If so, wherever you go you take the kingdom of God. More specifically, you take the Lord of the kingdom of God. For you are in Christ, and He is in you. An unstoppable duo!
Jesus is the Lord of God’s kingdom. All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Him, Matthew 28:18. The very thing Jesus says before the great commission: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:19-20
People need to understand Jesus is real. He is alive. Yes, He was dead, but He was raised from the dead and sits at the right of Father God, who is real. People need to believe this because the Bible is true.
