Spiritual War

We do not wrestle against flesh and blood…Ephesians 6:12

The Bible says when Satan fell, he took many angels with him. Satan is leading them in a war against us. They are in full rebellion against God. So, their anger is upon God’s creation; namely you. They are not as mighty as God, nor as smart, nor as determined. But neither are they stupid. They are intelligent, cunning, devious, and evil; pure evil. They are spiritual beings; not flesh and blood. But they are real nonetheless.

They lie. So, we are to surround ourselves with truth, Ephesians 6:14. They corrupt; cover yourself with righteousness, 6:14. They encourage rebellion; always have the shield of faith, 6:16. They deceive; protect your mind with the helmet of salvation, 6:17. This armor is only available to believers. The rest are left undefended. Not so you.

The world is under their influence, and in many individuals, control. Having been fully deceived, they serve Satan, and not God. Having fully rejected God, they leave what is natural for that which is unnatural. Thinking they are independent and self-governing, they stir up anger, division, and murder. They are without law; they are lawless, which is what God calls sin; 1 John 3:4.

Once you are gone, raptured, they will be in control. The world will completely reject God, His Son, and His Holy Spirit. They think they are ‘godless.’ But in fact, they will worship Satan as god. It has already begun. The Bible says, put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand, 6:11. The Bible also says, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand, 6:13. Clearly, this is a spiritual battle we cannot win on our own. Thank God, we don’t have to!
