Working Together
Joel 2:32 and Acts 2:21:
And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved…
We have God’s word that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
But, how do we explain that to someone who is seeking God?
What does it mean to call on the name of the Lord?
We will discuss this Friday, November 3.
Many of us have friends and family who still do not know the Lord.
Where do we begin?
Perhaps we can begin by listening.
What is the person saying? What is on their mind; on their heart?
How can we begin with what the person is really saying? We can help.
Perhaps you can begin with what you think a person needs to understand for their confession to be sincere. If you think a person must acknowledge they are a sinner, then start there. We can help.
Perhaps you can begin with what you think the person needs to understand for their belief to be accepted by God. If you think a person must understand what it means to say, “I believe” then start there. We can help.
And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved…
This is what the church does.
The church equips each other for the work of ministry.
We are the church working together by the power of God through His Spirit!
