Standing On the Promises

Their righteousness is from Me…Isaiah 54:17

Verse 17 is a remarkable promise from God. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD. And their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD.

This could be our prayer for Israel today. No weapon formed against them shall prosper. The news reported the other day that of the 7,000 rockets fired upon Israel, 550 have misfired. One of those misfired rockets fell near the Gaza Hospital. “They are killing their own people” said one Israeli spokesman. Could Isaiah 54 be prophetic?

Every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. Again, could Isaiah 54 be prophetic? It appears these days whatever a person or group accuses another of doing, they are guilty. Remember this the next time someone falsely accuses you. God will use their words to condemn them. Stand on the promises of God.

And their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord. Our righteousness is the imputed righteousness of Christ Jesus our Lord. We can only approach our Holy God because of Christ Jesus. We are holy because He is holy and we are in Him. Again, could Isaiah be prophetic?

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD. You are a servant of God. So, this is who you are. This is who will be. You are not who you were, you are a new creation. You are His inheritance: that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…Ephesians 1:18. We have a heritage from God. Jesus has an inheritance in you. God has us covered—front and back. Stand on the promises of God!
