Standing in the Power of Mercy

I will have mercy on you…Isaiah 54:8

The words of the prophet are true. Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper. 2 Chronicles 20:20. Has God ever given us reason to think otherwise?

The prophet reminds us of God’s promise. Verse 10: for the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed, Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.

The promises of God are true. Verse 16: Behold, I have created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire, who brings forth and instrument for his works. And I have created the spoiler to destroy. 

Verse 17: No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, Says the LORD.

Because of Jesus, you have the righteousness of the Lord. 

Because of His Spirit, you have the armor of God. 

Jesus plus the Spirit plus the Father means no weapon created by man shall defeat you. Victory is from the Lord God, who has mercy on you, verses 8 and 10.
