Jesus, Our Sufficiency

Made us alive…Ephesians 3:5

We were dead in our sins. By grace we have been saved, made alive, with Christ Jesus. As He was resurrected from the dead, we were raised to a new life, an everlasting life in Christ. As He is seated at the right hand of the Father, He made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 3:6.  For by grace we have been saved through faith, we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, verses 8, 9 & 10. This truth is literally life changing! One can only imagine how much grace has changed our lives.

In Christ there is no longer any condemnation, Romans 8:1. With our mind set on the Spirit there is life and peace, Romans 8:6. We function in grace in His Beloved, Ephesians 1:6. We have all that we need, having all sufficiency, 2 Corinthians 9:8. God is always near (though it may seem otherwise at times) because we have been brought near to God by the blood of Christ, Ephesians 2:13-16.

There is more.

Paul uses words which we all should know. We should know their biblical definition.

We are justified and we are redeemed, Romans 3:24.

We have the righteousness of God, 2 Corinthians 5:21.

We have been reconciled with God, Romans 5:10.

We have peace with God, Romans 5:1.

We have been sanctified, Hebrews 10:10.

We are free from the law of sin and death, Romans 8:2.

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 2:21-22.

We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13-14.

We have eternal life, Titus 1:2.

If you want more words to know, add Romans 8, verses 28 thru 30. There you will encounter: called, foreknew, predestined, justified, glorified, elect, and chosen. All of which define who you are in Christ. Which is why there is no condemnation, verse 1 and all things work together for good to those who love God, verse 28.

As if that was not enough, God has also supplied us with a special, spiritual gift for service to Him, 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12. That we may let love be without hypocrisy; abhor what is evil; cling to what is good, Romans 12:9. Because of Who God is and What He has done, you are sufficient in Christ.
